Description
The City of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive technology and software upgrade study for its modern electric streetcar system (“The Connector”). The consultant will assess existing hardware and software, engage stakeholders, benchmark best practices, and develop a phased implementation roadmap with cost estimates and recommendations for improving efficiency, passenger information, safety, and system integration.
• Conduct a current technology assessment of hardware, software, and communications.
• Perform stakeholder interviews and synthesize input from city staff, operators, and passengers.
• Benchmark comparable streetcar systems worldwide and capture lessons learned.
• Deliver detailed upgrade recommendations, cost estimates, and a phased implementation plan.
• Provide reports, presentations, and ongoing support for the city’s decision‑making process.
