Description
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command is seeking a contractor to design, fabricate, and deliver a 100 metric ton mobile boat hoist for the Naval Special Warfare Group 8 at the Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The hoist shall have a rated capacity of 220,000 pounds and be capable of lifting boats and other loads. The contractor shall also provide a custom spreader assembly with a rated capacity of 150,000 pounds. The hoist shall be designed and fabricated in accordance with industry standard design codes and shall meet the requirements outlined in the specification.
• The hoist shall be a straddle type crane with an open-end design and a pivot trunnion structural frame.
• The hoist shall have independent hoists/block systems and an equalized hoist system.
• The hoist shall be self-powered by a heavy-duty diesel engine and shall have a hydraulic drive system.
• The hoist shall be equipped with a load indicating device and a wind speed indicating device.
• The contractor shall provide training and technical documentation for the hoist.
