Description

The Hawaii Tourism Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to plan, develop, and implement a mobile-first, web-based cultural experience hosted in coordination with the HTA’s GoHawaii.com platform. The intent of this project is to create an interactive, self-guided cultural corridor through Downtown Honolulu that connects historically and culturally significant sites. The experience shall function as a digitally enabled cultural trail, accessible via mobile devices without the need for a standalone application download. The selected contractor will be responsible for content development, user experience design, and coordination with both platform providers. Key responsibilities include platform development coordination, QR code system development, secondary hosting coordination, interactive content and visitor engagement, cultural content integration, wayfinding and movement through content, business and community integration, content performance insights, testing and launch support, and marketing content development. • The contractor will develop a comprehensive suite of marketing-ready assets, including copy, visual assets, social media content, and QR signage messaging. • The contractor will ensure alignment with HTA’s brand, voice, and destination management framework. • The contractor will provide content optimized for HTA channels, including GoHawaii.com, social media, digital campaigns, and on-island visitor touchpoints. • The contractor will deliver a launch-ready content package for HTA deployment. • The contractor will provide recommendations for content use, sequencing, and audience targeting.
