The City of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified contractor to replace approximately 180 feet of aging cast‑iron septic pipe at the Mt Airy Arboretum using horizontal directional boring and install new 4‑inch HDPE pipe. The work includes utility locating, tie‑in to the existing septic tank, restoration of disturbed surfaces, and compliance with city specifications, M/WBE participation goals, prevailing‑wage requirements, and a 100 % performance bond. • Replace 180 ft of cast‑iron pipe with 4‑inch HDPE via HDB method, minimizing impact to vegetation. • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, utility locating, and site restoration (asphalt, concrete, seed, straw). • Meet City requirements: 6 % MBE / 6 % WBE subcontracting, Ohio prevailing‑wage rates, 100 % performance surety, general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. • Work must start within 30 calendar days of notice and be completed within 180 calendar days; warranty period of one year for corrective work.
