FLUID COUPLING

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a contractor to provide a fluid coupling. The coupling must meet the requirements specified in the solicitation, including being free from mercury contamination. The contractor will be responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements, and the inspection system requirements shall be in accordance with MIL-I-45208. The contractor must also provide an inspection/quality system acceptable to the government. * The fluid coupling must be manufactured in accordance with the specified requirements. * The contractor must provide a drawing and an explanation of the reason for any changes in design, material, servicing, or part number. * The contractor must ensure that the material supplied under this contract contains no metallic mercury and is free from mercury contamination. * The contractor must provide an inspection/quality system acceptable to the government. * The contractor must keep records of all inspection work performed and make them available to the government during the performance of the contract and for a period of four years after final delivery of supplies.
