Development & Delivery of a Public Involvement Academy

The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking a consultant to develop and deliver a comprehensive Public Involvement Academy. The academy aims to equip staff with the skills and tools necessary for effective public involvement in transportation project development. The selected consultant will conduct internal and external focus group workshops, develop a structured curriculum, create virtual training modules, and deliver training sessions. The total budget for this project is not to exceed $200,000. • The consultant will conduct internal and external focus group workshops with approximately 25 Iowa DOT employees and 25 external partners. • The consultant will develop a structured curriculum consisting of five training modules. • The consultant will create virtual training modules and supporting materials for future use. • The consultant will provide recommendations for a web-based strategic guidance toolbox. • The consultant will deliver training sessions and provide documentation for ongoing internal use.
