Description
The Indian Health Service is seeking a qualified optometrist to provide supplemental professional optometry coverage on an as-needed basis at the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center in Oregon. The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, and counseling patients. They will also be required to maintain accurate and timely documentation, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and comply with all applicable standards and regulations. The contract will be for a period of one year, with a maximum of 1,920 hours. The contractor will be paid an hourly rate, and payment will be made based on the actual hours worked.
Key responsibilities of the contractor include:
• Providing comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing visual disorders
• Treating visual disorders through the prescription of corrective lenses or other means
• Counseling patients on eye care and vision health
