RFP No. 902703 Transactions (Sales) and Use Tax Audit Services

The County of Alameda is seeking a contractor to provide transactions (sales) and use tax audit services. The contractor will be responsible for identifying and correcting sales and use tax allocation errors, providing quarterly reports on sales tax performance, and advising the County on revenue collection. The contractor will work with County staff to increase tax collections and provide historic transactions and use tax information and projections for County budgeting purposes. The contract will be for a period of three years with an option to renew for two years. Some of the key responsibilities of the contractor include: * Proactively identifying, auditing, and correcting sales and use tax allocation errors * Providing quarterly reports on sales tax performance * Advising the County on revenue collection * Working with County staff to increase tax collections * Providing historic transactions and use tax information and projections for County budgeting purposes * Maintaining registration data on all active businesses in the State of California * Meeting all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration requirements for Tax Audit Management of government agencies
