LFR Training Tower Footings

The City of Lincoln Fire & Rescue Department is seeking qualified contractors to perform earthwork, sub‑grade preparation, and poured‑concrete foundation and slab construction for a new modular fire‑training tower at the LFR Training Facility. The scope includes removal of existing footings, backfill handling (including PFAS‑contaminated soil permitting), grading, reinforced concrete grade‑beam and slab placement, site restoration, and coordination with the tower installer. All permits, testing, and a performance/payment bond are required. Substantial completion is required by 12/10/2026 to allow tower erection in early January 2027. • Location: 300 South Street, Lincoln, NE • Mandatory pre‑bid meeting & site visit on 10/14/2026 • Bid submission deadline: 10/23/2026 (CT) • PFAS soil requires special one‑time permit for disposal • Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, surveying, backfill, concrete, formwork, and restoration work • Excludes tower anchorage hardware – to be installed later by others • Performance and payment bond required for full contract amount • Substantial completion by 12/10/2026 (≈2‑month project)
