FY22-23 Byrne SCIP State & Local Law Enforcement Opportunity Non-Compet

The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) is providing continuation funding for state agencies and municipalities that were previously funded under the FY22-23 Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP). The goal of this program is to prevent or reduce gun violence through the implementation of evidence-based strategies and promising programming. The funding will support projects that focus on intervention and prevention, rather than enforcement or investigative activities. Eligible applicants must be Massachusetts state agencies or local law enforcement agencies that received a FY22-23 Byrne SCIP grant award. • The application must include a clear summary of the proposed project and identification of project priority areas. • The application must demonstrate how the proposed project will address the stated need and how the requested equipment or programming will be used. • The application must include a detailed budget and a plan for collecting data to submit performance measures. • The application must be submitted online, and all required attachments must be uploaded. • The review process will be based on the clarity and adequacy of the application, the use of data to demonstrate need, and the feasibility of the proposed project.
