Travel Demand Model (update) Development Services

The Institute for Transportation Research and Education at NC State University is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to update, calibrate, and validate the Triangle Regional Model Generation 2 (TRMG2) to a new validation year of 2025. The TRMG2 serves as the travel demand model for the Triangle region of North Carolina and is crucial for the development and support of transportation programs, plans, and projects in the region. The scope of work includes using a new on-board transit survey, recent travel survey data, recent transit ridership, and 2025 traffic counts. • The project requires the vendor to have experience in transportation engineering and travel demand modeling. • The vendor must be able to update, calibrate, and validate the TRMG2 model. • The vendor must be able to work with the TRM stakeholders, including CAMPO, TWTPO, NCDOT, and GoTriangle. • The vendor must be able to provide a comprehensive report on the updated TRMG2 model.
