Special Counsel Procurement

Stony Brook seeks outside legal counsel to provide legal advisement and guidance with respect to a dispute regarding water infiltration and mold presence in prefabricated residential units (the “Matter”). Such legal advisement and guidance is sought for all prelitigation stages of the Matter, including but not limited to preservation strategy, coordination of joint inspections, coordinating vendor communications, activity to mitigate damages, identifying and preserving potential claims under a commodities delivery contract, advising on bond matters and managing liens if applicable, assessing modular unit code compliance, assisting with insurance claim(s) and assisting in mediation.
