Description
The State of California is seeking a qualified vendor to convert California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) supplied Ford Transit XL vans into ADA‑compliant wheelchair‑lift vehicles. The conversion must meet strict technical, safety, and quality standards, including a rear‑door, non‑folding wheelchair lift, marine‑grade sub‑floor, custom wiring, welding, and paint finishes, and the vendor must maintain an authorized warranty repair facility within 100 miles of the delivery site. Bids are to be submitted electronically via email only, and the award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on an all‑or‑none basis.
• Supply and install a new Braun Century Series #NDCC‑2 or Ricon Titanium wheelchair lift meeting ADA, FMVSS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform full vehicle conversion: sub‑floor construction, polymer flooring, seating with lap‑and‑shoulder belts plus Q‑Strap, wiring, welding, painting, and delivery FOB destination (freight prepaid).
• Provide required certifications, insurance, and post‑submission documentation within five business days of request; maintain a warranty repair facility within 100 mi of the CDCR site.
