SPECIAL LEGAL COUNSEL IN THE MATTER OF NJDEP V. ALMO ANTI-POLLUTION SERVICES, ET ALS. V. TOMS RIVER TOWNSHIP, ET ALS.

The Township of Toms River is seeking special legal counsel to represent the Township in the litigation of N.J.D.E.P. v. Almo Anti-Pollution Services et.als., Docket No. BUR-L-00895-02. The selected law firm will provide legal services, including but not limited to, telephone calls, correspondence, legal research, preparation of ordinances, preparation of resolutions, preparation of contracts, negotiations, meetings, hearings, litigation, and any other services rendered on behalf of the Township. The contract shall commence on the date of award and continue for a period of twelve consecutive months. The Township is seeking a law firm with experience in similar matters and a strong reputation in the field. Key considerations include the qualifications of the individuals who will perform the tasks, the firm's experience and reputation, and the cost of the services. • The Township is seeking a law firm with experience in environmental law and litigation. • The selected law firm will be required to provide a detailed description of their professional experience and qualifications. • The firm will be expected to provide a list of professional references and records of success. • The contract will be awarded based on the vendor considered most advantageous to the Township.
