Related to Concealed Weapon Detectors

Tarrant County is requesting information to prepare for a potential formal solicitation for concealed weapon detectors to be used for the Sheriff's Office. The purpose of this RFI is to understand existing and available technology. The county is looking for providers who can offer services such as walk-between detection, high sensitivity to detect small items, and reporting abilities. The requested services include: • Walk-between detection designed to increase foot traffic through checkpoints • Two or three towers with wide lanes between, capable of rapid processing • High sensitivity to detect items as small as a two-inch weapon inside pockets, bags, briefcases, backpacks, or other containers holding multiple items • Reporting abilities, including a handheld, portable tablet that provides immediate image review and the capability to stream live footage remotely from a central location.
