DPH | 503A Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Services

The City of San Francisco’s Department of Public Health is seeking a qualified pharmacy firm to provide 503A sterile compounding services for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. The contractor will prepare and deliver patient‑specific total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, operating seven days a week, 365 days a year. This long‑term service supports critical care nutrition needs and requires compliance with USP <797> sterile compounding standards. • Provide continuous, 24/7/365 sterile compounding of TPN formulations for all patient populations. • Ensure regulatory compliance, quality control, and accurate labeling for each individualized prescription. • Coordinate with hospital clinical staff for order intake, verification, and timely delivery of compounded solutions. • Maintain documentation, batch records, and reporting as required by the Department of Public Health and hospital policies. • Offer support for potential audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
