The parcel will be closed to new mineral entry via Mineral Order No. 1346 and will retain state mineral rights. AHFC intends to use the land for affordable housing development, targeting one housing unit per 0.75 buildable acres, thereby reducing land‑cost barriers for low‑ and moderate‑income residents in remote or under‑developed areas.
