Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking bids for the provision of Aggregate, ABC (Granite) material to the Hertford County Maintenance location on an as-needed basis. The contract will have an initial term of one year, with the option to extend. Vendors must provide pricing, product identification, and other information as specified in the solicitation. The State reserves the right to evaluate bids based on factors such as price, quality, and past performance.
• The contract requires the vendor to deliver material to the Hertford County Maintenance location within 20 consecutive calendar days of receipt of order.
• The vendor must provide a certification of financial condition and comply with the State's insurance requirements.
• The contract may be canceled if the vendor fails to comply with the requirements of the Mining Act of 1971.
• The State encourages vendors to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
