Waste Oil & Antifreeze Collection

The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish a term contract for the indefinite quantities collection and proper disposal of used oil and antifreeze for the City's Central Fleet Garage two locations. The selected contractor will be responsible for the collection, transportation, recycling, and proper disposal of waste oil and antifreeze from various city facilities. The goal is to ensure environmentally responsible handling of these materials in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. • The contractor shall provide the collection, transportation, recycling, and proper disposal of waste oil and antifreeze from various city facilities. • The contractor shall establish a regular collection schedule based on the volume of waste generated at each facility. • The contractor shall provide on-call collection services for emergency situations or when containers reach capacity before the scheduled collection date. • The contractor shall respond to emergency situations within 2 hours of notification. • The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and personnel to manage and mitigate the emergency effectively.
