Description

The Idaho National Laboratory, via Battelle Energy Alliance, seeks qualified e‑waste recyclers to organize residential electronic waste collection events in U.S. states lacking e‑waste recycling regulations. Vendors must compile existing collection data, run 2–3 new events per organization before September 2027, advertise the events, and report detailed results. This effort supports a DOE research project comparing collection strategies across regulated and non‑regulated states. • Eligible non‑regulated states include 24 listed states such as Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, etc. • Each contractor must conduct at least two to three collection events in the target states before Sept 2027 and provide comprehensive data on participants and waste volumes. • Submissions are due by 13 Nov 2026; selected firms may be invited to a later RFP for award.

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $300,000

No budget is disclosed in the EOI. Based on typical costs for organizing 2–3 community‑scale e‑waste collection events (venue fees, advertising, logistics, and reporting) across multiple states, a contractor could expect a contract value roughly between $150,000 and $300,000. The lower end assumes minimal staffing and in‑kind partner support, while the higher end reflects broader outreach, higher volume collections, and professional reporting.
