B-- U-Th/He Thermochronology Analyses of Samples

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to the University of Connecticut for U-Th/He thermochronology analyses of samples. The service is required for the Alaska Basins and Petroleum Systems project and will last for a one-year period. The University of Connecticut has unique capabilities and facilities for these analyses, including a quadropole mass spectrometer, a clean lab, and an inductivity coupled plasma mass spectrometry. • The service is for a one-year period beginning September 30, 2026. • The University of Connecticut has expertise in analytical techniques and modeling/interpretation of data. • The University of Connecticut has access to and expertise in the three different facilities required for (U-Th)/He Analyses. • The proposed action may be awarded on a sole source basis under the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(a).
