Community Activation Through Adaptice Reuse of City-Used Properties

The City of Nevada City is soliciting proposals from businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and community groups to lease and revitalize two under‑utilized, historic city‑owned properties (424 Broad St. and the Miners Foundry Annex at 325 Spring St.). Selected partners will assume responsibility for tenant improvements, permitting, construction, and ongoing operation, with lease terms up to 15 years and potential rent incentives tied to private investment. Proposals are evaluated on community benefit, financial sustainability, experience, and alignment with historic preservation and downtown vitality goals. Attendance at a mandatory walk‑through on September 16 2026 is required.
