Electric MRL Elevator Replacement – U.S. Embassy Rome, Italy

The U.S. Embassy Rome, Italy is seeking a contractor to replace a Machine Room Less (MRL) elevator at the Mel Sembler Building. The project involves the removal and replacement of the existing elevator with a new rail-supported MRL gearless/PM motor type with regenerative motor control drives/inverters. The contractor must also review the existing structures to verify they can adequately support the forces introduced by the new MRL elevator. The project is expected to cost between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
