The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is seeking bids for the JNU Mendenhall River GLOF ER 8-2025 project, which involves emergency response and mitigation to the expected damage caused by a glacial lake outburst flooding (GLOF) from Suicide Basin at the Mendenhall Glacier. The project includes repairing rock armor on the North riverbank and bridge abutment slope at Mendenhall River Bridge. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000, and all work must be completed by July 15, 2026. • The project is a Race Neutral project as defined in Section 120 of the Specifications. • Plans, specifications, bid documents, reports, addenda, and other bidder information are available online for downloading free of charge. • Hard copies of these documents are available in hard copy for a non-refundable fee of $100/set. • Companies owned by women, minorities, and people with disabilities are encouraged to bid.
