Sole Source Notice - Fingerprint Capture and Enhancement System Core

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking to purchase a digital crime scene imaging system from Foster and Freeman US Inc. The system will replace the existing fingerprint imaging platform and enhance functionality. The proposed configuration includes the DCS6 Core Imaging System, DCS6 RUVIS Camera, Lens, Lighting and Filtering, DCS6 Cylindrical Surface Unwrapper, and DCS6 FLS Light Source. • The system is an integrated workstation designed for the detection, capture, and enhancement of latent, patent, and contaminated fingerprints, as well as trace and document evidence. • The system surpasses the capabilities of the former Reflective Ultra Violet Imaging System (RUVIS) by incorporating advanced lighting controls, interchangeable filtered lenses, and enhanced alternate light source imaging options. • Foster and Freeman are the sole source provider for this equipment. • The estimated expenditure for the current term of the contract is $168,378.68.
