Description

The United States Army is conducting a market survey to identify sources that can provide Light Interference Filters (LIF) for the Monocular Night Vision Device AN/PVS-14. The LIF is a critical component of the PVS-14, which amplifies ambient light to provide improved night vision. The Army is looking for manufacturers and suppliers who can provide new LIFs to support the PVS-14. The estimated quantity required is between 75,000 and 120,000 LIFs over a 5-year period. • The LIF is a critical component of the PVS-14 night vision system. • The Army possesses a limited technical data package (TDP) for the part, which is available for conditional release. • Alternate designs must be approved by the Product Manager-Soldier Maneuver Sensors (PM-SMS). • Suppliers who are capable of supplying this item should contact the government before May 15, 2026. • Submissions must include a list of items the supplier is able to produce or source, as well as documentation that the supplier can provide the Army with a physically and functionally compliant component.

Budget estimate

$7,500,000 – $60,000,000

The budget for this opportunity can be estimated based on the quantity of LIFs required and the cost of producing each unit. Assuming an average cost of $100 to $500 per unit, the total budget for 75,000 to 120,000 units could be between $7,500,000 and $60,000,000 over 5 years. This is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on the specifics of the contract and the supplier's production costs.
