Description

The City of League City is seeking a qualified vendor to supply fifteen (15) fully assembled, custom‑built binocular night‑vision devices for law‑enforcement use. The contractor must provide all components (housing, optics, image‑intensifier tubes), perform tube matching, assemble, test, deliver, and support the systems with a five‑year warranty and technical support. Proposals are due November 5, 2026; questions must be submitted by October 22, 2026. The contract is FEMA‑grant funded and will be awarded shortly before an anticipated start date of November 18, 2026. • Deliver 15 complete binocular night‑vision units meeting specified performance (≥2200 FOM). • Provide detailed component lists, tube performance data, matching criteria, and serial‑number traceability. • Include five‑year warranty, maintenance, and technical‑support procedures. • Submit sealed proposals (hard copy or electronic) by the deadline; public opening will occur at Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center. • Vendor must comply with federal grant, Buy‑America, and related regulatory requirements.

Budget estimate

$225,000 – $450,000

The RFP does not disclose a contract value. Based on market pricing for high‑end binocular night‑vision systems (approximately $15,000‑$30,000 per unit) and the requirement for 15 units, the total procurement cost is likely between $225,000 and $450,000. This estimate includes the devices themselves, warranty, and initial technical‑support services, but excludes any optional training or extended service contracts that could raise the upper bound.
