Description
The City of Lynchburg is seeking bids for easement clearing services for water resources utilities. The contractor will be responsible for clearing easements, including light brush clearing, moderate brush clearing, and heavy clearing with trees. The contractor must provide unit prices for each type of clearing, including first-time initial herbicide treatment. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any and all informalities, and disregard all conforming, nonconforming, conditional bids or counterproposals.
• The contractor must have experience in easement clearing services.
• The contractor must provide references that may substantiate past work performance and experience in the type of work required for the contract.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations.
• The contractor must provide a written binding quote using the contract unit prices, work account items/prices, and any other costs for items not covered under the unit price schedule or work account sheet, if requested by the owner.
• The contractor must submit pre-construction documentation, including photographic or video documentation of existing site conditions.
• The contractor must comply with the city's non-discrimination policy and provide equal employment opportunities.
