Description
The South Huntington Union Free School District is seeking a qualified landscape‑architect firm to develop comprehensive landscape‑beautification and irrigation plans for all district school sites, provide cost estimating, and offer construction‑administration services, including required submissions to the New York State Education Department. The scope covers program development, stakeholder coordination, design renderings, budgeting, scheduling, alternative approaches, regulatory filings, and post‑award construction oversight. The contract begins with the 2025‑2026 school year and may be renewed annually for up to three additional years at the same rates.
• Deliver draft design concepts within one week of award, with final design and irrigation plans due by Feb 15 2026.
• Provide cost estimates for each design element and manage construction‑phase budgeting, schedule, and NYSED compliance.
• Must hold NYS landscape‑architect or engineering licensure, meet extensive insurance requirements, and submit certifications (non‑collusive bidding, Iran divestment, sexual‑harassment policy, etc.).
• Proposals due Oct 30 2025 (11 a.m.); pre‑proposal site visit on Oct 16 2025 is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
