Engineering Design Services For Electrical Improvements to the City's Water And Wastewater Treatment Plant

The City of Cooper City is seeking a qualified consultant to provide engineering design services for electrical improvements to the City's Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope of work includes evaluating and delivering electrical design, permitting, bidding/construction-award assistance, and post-design services with complete drawings and specifications to upgrade and/or replace the City's water and wastewater electrical power and distribution systems. The selected consultant will be responsible for coordinating all work and demonstrating experience in the electrical engineering discipline. The City intends to retain one qualified consultant under a non-exclusive professional services agreement with an effective term of 16 months and an estimated contract amount of $3,700,000. • The City's water and wastewater treatment plant is located at 11791 SW 49th Street, Cooper City, FL 33330. • The treatment plant has a maximum capacity of 7.0 million gallons per day (mgd). • The wastewater treatment plant consists of three individual package plants, each with a maximum treatment capacity of 1.25 mgd. • The City intends to utilize State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Resiliency Florida Grant funding for the construction phase. • The design shall include alternatives, if any, and phasing with estimated costs, sequencing, and respective timelines. • Periodic meetings with the City staff are required, especially during the 30%, 60%, and 90% completion with a final presentation.
