NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals from vendors to provide comprehensive managed support services for the County's Information Systems Division. The scope of services includes virtualization, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, identity management, hybrid cloud integration, data center operations, and midrange systems. The County requires continuous, 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week operational support across these environments to ensure the availability, security, and performance of critical County systems and services. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with the possibility of four annual renewals. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing 24x7x365 monitoring and support for virtualization and end-user compute platforms • Delivering high availability and workload balancing capabilities • Ensuring performance optimization across compute, memory, storage, and network • Managing capacity planning and predictive scaling • Implementing patch and lifecycle management • Conducting backup and recovery validation • Performing disaster recovery testing with documented runbooks • Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents • Integrating with hybrid cloud and identity platforms • Supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including layer 2/layer 3 switching and routing • Providing cybersecurity infrastructure support, including next-generation firewall systems and network access control • Implementing zero trust security principles • Delivering security monitoring, detection, and offensive security • Providing network management, observability, and telemetry • Supporting WAN architecture and connectivity • Managing identity, access management, and directory services • Integrating with hybrid cloud and platform services • Managing data center infrastructure and facilities • Providing enterprise midrange systems support, including IBM i and iSeries
