Intent to Sole Source Lift Tickets/Wind Tunnel

The 4th Fighter Wing Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Vampire Aviation LLC for the provision of a De Havilland Vampire as a show performance aircraft and static display, accompanied by a pilot and crew. The contract also includes the provision of lift tickets and vertical wind tunnel services to support military parachute operations. The contractor will be required to provide aircraft, facilities, and services to support 352 Special Warfare Training Squadron military parachute operations. Key tasks include ensuring aircraft maintenance, compliance with regulations, and provision of necessary equipment and personnel. • The contractor must provide a pilot with a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) commercial rating and instrument rating. • The contractor must ensure the aircraft is reserved for exclusive use for military operations during actual drops. • The contractor must provide adequate clean and covered space for 352 SW TS personnel to pack up to 6 ram air parachutes simultaneously. • The contractor must ensure adequate aircraft weight restrictions are enforced and sanitation facilities are maintained on site. • The contractor must comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment is worn at all times.
