Independent Medical Examinations

Lansing Community College is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Independent Medical Examination (IME) services. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing comprehensive and objective evaluations in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act, American with Disabilities Act, and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. The vendor must provide IME services for various purposes, including workers' compensation hearings, occupational and non-occupational return-to-work assessments, and determinations of fitness for duty. The scope of work includes conducting IMEs, providing written reports, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations. • The vendor must have experience working with higher education institutions and providing IME services. • The vendor must have a physical office within the State of Michigan and maintain adequate professional malpractice and liability insurance. • The vendor must provide comprehensive, objective evaluations in accordance with the specified acts and regulations. • The vendor must have a process for receiving and processing referrals, scheduling examinations, and delivering reports.
