Description
The City of Kenai is soliciting bids to replace the existing storm‑drain system along Aliak Street, construct four infiltration basins, and repave approximately 1,650 linear feet of roadway.
• Removal of existing storm‑drain pipes, catch basins, and manholes.
• Installation of four new infiltration basins, including back‑fill, drainage rock, and geotextile fabric.
• Placement of Class E asphalt pavement, topsoil, and seeding for site restoration.
• Requirement to provide a 5 % bid bond (if bid > $100 k), performance and payment bonds, and insurance per Alaska statutes.
• Completion targeted within 45 days after notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for any delay beyond September 30 2026.
