The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to provide design documents for the replacement of underground sprinkler and domestic water mains at the Altoona VA Medical Center. The project requires an Architect-Engineering (A/E) team to provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete the design and construction of the project. The A/E team must have experience in completing projects requiring skills similar to those anticipated for this contract, including general renovation of medical center space, architectural changes, and design of specialty construction. The team must also have experience in construction period services, including professional field inspections and review of construction submittals. • The project requires compliance with current VA guidelines, EPA requirements, and VA specifications. • The project must be designed and completed in accordance with local requirements for the Altoona VA Medical Center. • The A/E team must provide a site-specific water safety plan and ensure proper separation of domestic water lines and equipment during construction. • The team must also ensure that all domestic water lines are insulated and properly balanced. • The project requires the use of service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses as subcontractors, and the A/E team must identify and commit to using these businesses.
