REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) - Outdoor Static Model Display Refurbishment

The United States Air Force is seeking information from capable and qualified sources to refurbish six outdoor static display models. The models are made of fiberglass, foam, composite, or light aluminum and are exposed to harsh outdoor conditions, leading to degradation. The refurbishment is required to maintain aesthetic integrity, structural safety, and historical accuracy. The contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and quality control to fully refurbish the cosmetic appearance and protective coatings of the models. • The contractor must have experience in refurbishing outdoor aircraft static display models on a Department of War base. • The contractor must replace or refurbish any missing components back to original condition. • The contractor must conduct an initial condition assessment with high-resolution photography and written report. • The contractor must reproduce all national insignia, squadron tail codes, tail numbers, and special markings. • The contractor must complete all work by 30 September 2026.
