Description
The City of Florence is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate two municipal water wells—Otis Way and Jebaily—through cleaning, liner installation, flow testing, pump sizing, and the supply and installation of pumps, motors, wiring, and stainless‑steel pipe components. The contract is awarded on the basis of the lowest responsible bid, with local‑business and minority‑business preferences considered. Bids must be submitted in sealed hard‑copy envelopes by the deadline, and the contractor must furnish performance and payment bonds, as well as extensive insurance coverage.
• Clean and scrub both wells; perform 12‑hour flow tests to determine pump requirements.
• Install 712 ft of 10‑inch stainless‑steel liner in the Jebaily well and provide all pump, motor, electrical, and pipe materials.
• Submit detailed price proposal, required bonds, and insurance certificates; comply with SC Illegal Immigration Reform Act and local preference policies.
