Covert Security Features

The Bureau of Engraving & Printing is seeking information on technologies and materials for covert security features to be used in future generations of U.S. currency. The features should provide effective counterfeit deterrence and be easy to authenticate without the use of external devices. Respondents should provide information on their company's capability to supply production materials, technical and product information, budgetary cost and delivery information, and a customer list. • The features should be extremely difficult to simulate or duplicate but easy to authenticate. • The technologies and materials submitted should have already demonstrated laboratory feasibility. • The Bureau will review the submissions for inherent and relative effectiveness as a security feature and assess compatibility with design and production factors. • The submissions should not include proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information.
