Description
The State of Maine is seeking a contractor to provide custodial services for the MEARNG Bangor ARC Building #100. The contractor will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and supplies, and must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the specifications and requirements outlined in the RFQ. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional years.
• Daily tasks include emptying trash and recycling receptacles, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning restrooms and drinking fountains.
• Weekly tasks include dusting and cleaning furniture, removing fingerprints from doors and doorknobs, and cleaning glass and glass doors.
• Monthly tasks include wiping down refrigerators and microwaves, dusting and removing insects from light fixtures, and washing baseboards.
• Quarterly tasks include deep cleaning tiled floor areas in bathrooms, high-level dusting, and vacuuming air intake and exhaust grills.
• Semi-annually, the contractor will be required to clean ceramic floor tile and grout, shampoo all carpeting, and strip, seal, and refinish tile floor areas.
• Yearly, the contractor will be required to strip and re-polish Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) and clean the exterior of all windows and skylights.
