The City of Dublin is seeking a website design firm to redesign, develop, and implement a modern, accessible, and user-friendly website that reflects the city's brand identity. The new website should be easier for users to navigate, more efficient for city staff to manage, and provide a wide variety of services. The selected vendor will be responsible for achieving several objectives, including designing and implementing a modern web platform, ensuring accessibility compliance, enhancing user experience, adopting a mobile-first responsive design, and implementing website governance frameworks. The vendor should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of local government digital environments and provide descriptions of at least three comparable website design and development projects completed within the past five years. Some key features of the new website include: • A modern aesthetic design focused on services and utilizing responsive website design • Functionality equivalent for mobile and desktop devices across all major browsers • Built with best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) and structured data to enhance discoverability • An easy-to-use interface for internal content contributors • Workflow capacity, such as reminders on when to remove documents and/or auto-delete features • Compliance with current ADA requirements verified through accessibility audits to confirm compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA at launch • Integration with City Active Directory through SSO sign-on for user authentication • Hosting of the website on U.S. data centers and provision of 48-hour notice of any material data breach of SaaS services • Support for multiple levels of security by individual and by groups, including tiered permissions • Reporting mechanisms that are easy to use, such as number of visits per page, duration of visits, etc.
