Traffic Engineering Design Plan Preparation Services for Van Buren Boulevard Buffered Bike Lane Project

The City of Riverside is seeking a qualified civil and/or traffic engineering consultant to provide services for the preparation of plans for the SB 821 grant-funded Van Buren Boulevard Buffered Bike Lanes Project. The project involves designing and planning for the construction of Class II buffered bike lanes along Van Buren Boulevard from Wood Road to Orange Terrace Parkway. The selected company will be responsible for preparing signing and striping plans, traffic signal design plans, street improvement plans, cost estimates, and specifications. The company should have at least five years of experience in providing similar services and demonstrate extensive experience in developing traffic engineering and design plans of similar scale and complexity. Key aspects of the project include: • Preparing plans, specifications, and estimates for the bike lanes • Designing traffic signal modifications, curb and gutter improvements, and traffic control measures • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including CEQA and SB 821 guidelines • Providing professional design services to prepare signing and striping plans, traffic signal plans, and street improvement plans • Coordinating with the City's Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
