Concept Feasibility Study, Fairfax Circle

The City of Fairfax seeks a qualified planning and engineering architecture/engineering firm to evaluate alternatives and develop a recommended concept plan for the Fairfax Circle intersection and associated transportation improvements. The effort will produce an alternatives evaluation, conceptual design, and feasibility analysis to support the city’s vision of a mixed‑use, walkable activity center. The scope includes traffic studies, multimodal design, cost estimates, and implementation recommendations. • Conduct traffic operations and safety analysis for the existing Fairfax Circle intersection. • Develop multimodal design concepts (pedestrian, bicycle, transit, vehicular) aligned with the Fairfax Circle Small Area Plan. • Produce cost‑benefit and feasibility assessments, including phasing and implementation recommendations. • Deliver a comprehensive concept plan report suitable for city decision‑making and future project development. • Coordinate with city staff and stakeholders throughout the study period.
