Description
The City of Cincinnati is seeking bids for the Handasyde/Michigan/Perkins Water Main Replacement project. The project involves furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project, including the installation of ductile iron pipe and fittings, copper service pipe, and other work. The project is divided into two bid packages: General Construction (Bid Package A) and Assigned Plumbing Contract (Bid Package B). Bidders may submit a combination bid that combines both packages. The city will require surety for 100% of the estimated private lead service line replacement work in advance. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety for 100% of the estimated private lead service line replacement work at the time of contract execution.
• The project includes the installation of approximately 6,000 linear feet of 4", 6", 8", and 12" ductile iron pipe and fittings.
• The project also includes the installation of copper service pipe, including 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", and 2" pipes.
• The project requires the relocation of existing fire hydrants and the installation of new fire hydrant extensions.
• The project includes the furnishing and installation of curb and roadway boxes, as well as the removal of existing curb and roadway boxes.
• The project requires the reconnection of existing service branches and the installation of new service lines.
