SERVICING OF ELEVATORS AND WHEELCHAIR LIFTS

The County of Ocean is seeking a contractor to provide full maintenance services and repairs for elevator systems and wheelchair lifts at various County locations. The contractor will be responsible for performing monthly preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements of parts, as well as inspections and tests. The contract will include a comprehensive field verification and assessment of all elevator equipment, and the contractor will be required to update the equipment inventory and asset checklist throughout the duration of the contract. The contractor will also be required to submit daily service work tickets, monthly reports, and attend monthly meetings with the Departmental Contacts. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have at least 5 years of experience in the elevator repair and maintenance business. • The contractor must have a minimum of 3 years of experience at the journeyman level for all mechanics performing work under the contract. • The contractor must provide evidence of training in the installation and maintenance of Garaventa Stair-Lift equipment and KONE elevators. • The contractor must have a continuous telephone service available 24/7, including holidays. • The contractor must maintain a stock of replacement parts to minimize downtime. • The contractor must comply with all applicable codes and regulations, including the State of New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
