Notice to Sole Source-Community Center Retractable Walls

The City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to sole source the replacement of retractable partition panels for the Community Center. The panels must be compatible with the existing Huffcor overhead track system. The selected vendor, Precision Service & Installation, LLC, will provide and install the new panels, remove the existing ones, test the system, and provide staff training and warranty. The city has determined that Precision Service & Installation, LLC is the only known manufacturer that produces replacement operable partition panels specifically designed to utilize existing Huffcor track systems. * The replacement panels must be compatible with the existing Huffcor track system. * The vendor will provide removal of existing panels, installation of new panels, system testing, adjustments, staff training, and warranty. * The city has researched other manufacturers and found that they require removal and replacement of the existing track system, which would result in significant cost savings and reduced installation time. * The proposed pricing is considered fair and reasonable based on market research and comparison to the cost of complete operable partition replacement.
