SP/SSC IDOC - Database Development Services

The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to modify existing business rules and programming code, schedule and run jobs, export files, File Transfer, and generate reports related to department payroll benefit system. The selected vendor will be required to perform as a senior programmer for a complex payroll system or subsystems, coordinate analytical and programming functions, prepare, review and revise program code, JCL and databases, and perform analysis and evaluation of database and program logic. The contract term is from 01/01/2026 to 06/30/2026. • The vendor must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or related fields (or equivalent knowledge, skill, experience and mental development) • The vendor must have five (5) or more years of progressive responsibility and experience in programming and database development • The vendor must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • The vendor must have experience with the following technologies: IBM MVS/ESA host operating system environment, TSO, JCL, IBM utilities, IMS DB/DC and DB2, SQL, COBOL, Easytrieve Plus, and Microfocus Mainframe Express (MFE)
