Transport Gondola Cars

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking bids for the transport of twelve gondola cars from Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska to The Gondola Shop in Fruita, Colorado for refurbishment. The contract will be in effect from the date of award through June 30, 2026. The successful bidder will be required to provide door-to-door transport service, including drop and staging of containers at both the origin and destination sites to facilitate loading and unloading. The bidder must also provide a certified weight scale when requested by the City. • The transport service must include a minimum of 48 hours staging to facilitate loading and unloading. • The containers must arrive in Fruita, Colorado no sooner than January 5, 2026. • The bidder must notify the Gondola Shop in Fruita, Colorado a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. • The bidder must provide lump sum pricing for transport to Fruita, Colorado, including a minimum of 48 hours drop/staging to facilitate loading and unloading. • The bidder must provide a rate for additional drop/staging days if needed. • The bidder must provide the type and inside dimensions for the containers intended for shipment. • The bidder must provide current fuel surcharge percentage and a link to fuel surcharge information. • The bidder must state any minimum weight requirements.
