Description
The County of Los Angeles is seeking qualified vendors to provide as-needed transportation services for various county departments. The services required may include providing transportation to and from functions, activities, and locations within Los Angeles County and neighboring counties. The contractor must be a transportation company with a core business of providing transportation services using vehicles such as school buses, coach buses, transit/shuttle buses, and passenger vans. The contractor must also comply with federal and state Department of Transportation preventative maintenance and safety requirements.
Some key points to consider:
• The contract term will be three years with two additional two-year option periods and six-month to month extensions, for a maximum total contract term of seven years and six months.
• The county may request vehicles that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all other federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.
• All vehicles deployed by the contractor must be insured in accordance with the master agreement.
• Destinations for trips include any location within Los Angeles County and may include locations in neighboring counties.
• Each vehicle provided must include one or more drivers who are appropriately licensed by the State of California.
• Specific trips, routes, and other relevant details will be described in the Work Order Solicitation (WOS) for all requested services.
