Description
The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is seeking a contractor to provide roof repairs on Building 425 of the Louisiana Naval Air Station. The scope of work includes repairing roof leaks, supplying and installing new metal vent caps, removing and replacing existing vent boots, and cutting out and replacing sealant around vent curb penetrations. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Supply and installation of new metal vent caps
• Removal and replacement of existing vent boots
• Cutting out and replacing sealant around vent curb penetrations
• Removal and replacement of existing screws and washers on ridge cap flashing
• Cutting out and replacing sealant on ridge flashing overlaps
• Installation of new screws
The contractor shall also provide their own fall arrest harness during the job site visit and secure the building and any sensitive items at the end of each workday.
