Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to AB SCiex for servicing and maintaining AB Sciex laboratory equipment. The contract requires ongoing preventative maintenance and repair services for AB Sciex laboratory equipment. The primary objective is to maintain the functionality and reliability of the Sciex mass spectrometers and liquid chromatographs to support critical public health missions. The contractor will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repairs, providing qualified personnel, and maintaining accurate records of all activities. The contract has a base period of one year, with four option periods, each lasting one year. The total contract duration is five years, from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2031. Some key features of the contract include: • The contractor must provide a service invoice (field service report) following remedial or preventative maintenance, which includes a description of the work performed and any parts replaced. • The contractor must provide a monthly report detailing the services provided during the preceding calendar month. • The contractor must lead a quarterly conference call to review contract performance and discuss any issues or concerns. • The contractor must provide an annual on-site meeting focused on equipment service issues and continuous improvement for end-users.
